It has been a while since my last post, but as most of you already know I am a member of the Purex Insiders program, which allows me to test new products in exchange for an honest review.
I have never tried a color safe bleach product before, and I was rather skeptical about its effectiveness. I tried this product on a few loads of laundry and liked it pretty well before I really had a good stain to work with. Lo and behold, I inevitably got salsa on one of my favorite purple tank tops. I did not have high hopes on this product taking the stain out, as my previous experiences with salsa have showed me that it typically sends my favorite garments to the clothing graveyard or they end up being banished to the bottom in my layered clothing ensemble.
I was not able to wash the top immediately. It was late the next day before I used Purex Plus Clorox 2 to wash this garment with a regular load of clothes. I did not do any pretreating or take any other stain-fighting measures to save my shirt, and since I am busy and kind of lazy, I just tossed it in the wash with the rest of the clothes and hoped for the best.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that this product did in fact lift the set in stain, and I will be able to rock that purple top in a top layer once more someday soon. Purex saved the day yet again!

Renuzit Pearl Scents review
Because I am a Purex Insider, I was chosen to try and review the new Renuzit Pearl Scents fragrance product. I love having my home smell fresh, so I was excited to see how it worked compared to the spray product I currently use.
I was sent the Blue Sky Breeze scent to test. Other scents available are: Seductive Pineapple, After the Rain, Serenity, and Tranquil. This air freshener is composed of beads of essential oils and is supposed to last up to 30 days.
I set this product on a shelf in my living room. The fresh scent instantly wafted around, but was not overwhelming. The jar that it comes in is attractive and unobtrusive.
After having the product sitting on the shelf for a few days, I did not notice much scent coming from it, so I gave it a quick shake (it has a lid with a pretty design that is open to let the scent come through). This reactivated the beads of essential oils and sent the scent out into the room again.
I really like this product and I am looking forward to trying the other scents.

Dial Miracle Oil Body Wash Review
Recently, I received a sample of
Dial Miracle Oil Body Wash to review through the Purex Insiders program. I always get so excited when these little packages arrive, because I absolutely love trying new products.
Dial's new Miracle Oil Restoring Body Wash has been infused with marula oil, which I had never heard of before. After a quick Google search, I found out that marula oil is a beauty secret that hails from South Africa and Madagascar. It has amazing skincare qualities that hydrate and soften skin while protecting the it from free radicals. It also apparently smells divine.
When I tried the product, I immediately noticed the lovely smell and the wonderful rich lather that came from the Dial Miracle Oil Body Wash. It is formulated with Micro Oil Technology for a luxurious, clean-rinsing lather that leaves skin feeling clean, soft, and smooth. This moisturizing formula left me feeling refreshed and great with skin that looks and feels healthy.

Purex Crystals Fabulously Fresh review and giveaway
It's been a while since I have gotten a product to review, but I was really excited to get my box from Purex Insiders with Purex Crystals Fabulously Fresh in-wash fragrance booster inside. I am all about having good-smelling laundry, and this scent does not disappoint! You just shake a few crystals at the bottom of the washing machine before adding clothes (it's safe for high-efficiency machines), and use your normal detergent (I use Purex Ultra Packs). The scent is really fresh and not overpowering, but it lasts for a long time. Another good thing about this product is that it is safe even on children's sleepwear and athletic clothing. It also doesn't reduce the absorbency of towels like some fabric softeners can.
I will be doing a drawing to give away a coupon for a full-size bottle of Purex Crystals Fabulously Fresh in-wash fragrance booster on April 30th. To enter, all you need to do is be a follower of this blog and leave me a comment on this post with your email address, letting me know you want to enter. Good luck!

Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash
Thanks to the wonderful people at Purex Insiders, I recently got the chance to to try Dial Vitamin Boost body wash in exchange for my honest opinion about it. First off, I really liked the fresh scent (kiwi with maybe a touch of coconut?). I was a little bit surprised when I squeezed some out of the bottle and it was bright green, but it made a very nice sudsy lather that smelled very good. At this time of year, I usually have some trouble with products drying out my skin. I didn't have that problem with this product. There is lotion infused in the formula, and it contains a vitamin B complex, which is a natural humectant (helps draw in moisture to keep skin hydrated).
As usual, when I get to test these products...I am also having a giveaway! I will be giving a coupon for a free bottle of Dial Vitamin Boost body wash to one of my lucky readers. To enter, you must follow this blog and leave a comment with your email address, letting me know that you are entering. The random drawing will occur on Friday, February 28th. I will notify the winner soon after the drawing. Good luck!

Purex dryer sheets review and giveaway
Purex Insiders recently sent me a box of Purex dryer sheets with Sweet Lavender scent to try out and share my opinion about. My first impression was a strong one...my laundry room instantly and still to this day smells of the absolutely wonderful lavender fragrance that is coming from the box of sheets. I was a little worried that the smell might be overpowering on the clothes, especially since my husband is kind of sensitive to scented products. After using them on a load of laundry, I found the fragrance to be much more subdued but still very pleasant. The clothes were left static-free and soft-feeling. I will definitely be using these affordable dryer sheets vs. the higher-priced alternatives that give comparable results. I am also excited to see if Purex comes out with other scents so that I can try those as well.
The generous folks at Purex also sent me some coupons to distribute as I see fit and, as usual, I chose to hold a blog giveaway! Three of my lucky readers will receive a coupon for FREE Purex dryer sheets. All you have to do to enter for the drawing is follow this blog and leave a comment with your email address letting me know you want to enter the contest. The drawing will be held on August 11th. Good luck!

Michael Buble "To Be Loved" album review
As a member of the One2One Network, I was given the opportunity to preview the new Michael Buble album, "To Be Loved." I had heard his name before, but I was really not familiar at all. I really didn't know what to expect, but I have a wide range of musical appreciation, so I was willing to give it a try in exchange for my honest opinions.
I began to realize while I listened that almost all of the songs on this album are recognizable covers originated by other artists. It almost gave me the feeling that I was watching a Las Vegas lounge act. It took me a little while to discover whether or not that was a good thing. Really, I would describe the music as "Easy Listening." It includes the type of songs you would hear on a TV show or movie soundtrack, or on a Muzak-type station in a mall or something, which aren't exactly the type of songs that I would normally seek out to listen to. However, it really was pleasant and even uplifting to my mood. I was showering and getting ready for my day as I played the album, and I have to admit that I found myself be-bopping around a little bit to some of the songs that I recognized.
All in all, I must say that I did enjoy listening to this album (which surprised me). If you are interested in checking it out, I recommend purchasing it from Amazon. If you buy the CD version, they include a free mp3 version of the album as well. Enjoy!
